January 5 – Legislature reconvenes

January 10 – Budget submitted by Governor

January 16 – Last day for policy committees to hear and report to fiscal committees on fiscal bills introduced in their house of origin in the odd-numbered year

January 23 – Last day to submit bill requests to the Office of Legislative Counsel and for any committee to hear and report to the floor bills introduced in that house in the odd-numbered year

January 31 – Last day for each house to pass bills introduced in that house in the odd-numbered year

February 20 – Last day for new legislation to be introduced

March 26 – Joint spring recess begins upon adjournment

April 6 – Legislature reconvenes from spring recess

April 24 – Last day for policy committees to hear and report to fiscal committees on fiscal bills introduced in their house

May 1 – Last day for policy committees to hear and report to the Floor nonfiscal bills introduced in their house

May 9 – Last day for policy committees to meet before June 1

May 14 – May Revision of State Budget

May 15 – Last day for fiscal committees to hear and report to the Floor bills introduced in their house; Last day for fiscal committees to meet before June 9

May 26-29 – Floor session only

May 29 – Last day for each house to pass bills introduced in that house

June 1 – Committee meetings may resume

June 15 – Budget bill must be passed at midnight

July 2 – Last day for policy committees to meet and report bills; summer recess

August 3 – Legislature reconvenes from summer recess

August 14 – Last day for fiscal committees to meet and report bills

August 21 – Last day to amend bills on the floor

August 31 – Last day for any bill to be passed; interim recess begins upon adjournment

September 30 – Last day for Governor to sign or veto bill
